About the Opportunity
Interaction Recruitment is proud to be supporting a well-established, forward-thinking manufacturer in the agricultural sector as they look to appoint an Operations Manager for their Norfolk site.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and practical operations leader who enjoys being actively involved in production while also driving strategic improvements. The successful candidate will take ownership of day-to-day feed mill operations, logistics, and team performance, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production standards are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
 1. Lead and oversee all aspects of mill and logistics operations.
 2. Champion quality, consistency, and productivity across manufacturing processes.
 3. Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement continuous improvement plans.
 4. Work closely with Health, Safety & Quality teams to maintain accreditations such as UFAS, ISO9001, and ISO14001, alongside ethical certifications.
 5. Manage, train, and develop a production team of 20+ colleagues.
 6. Take responsibility for procurement of ingredients and maintenance of plant equipment.
 7. Oversee transport, vehicle scheduling, and external logistics partners.
 8. Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
Your Background
 9. Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing or food production management role.
 10. Proven leadership experience managing medium to large operational teams.
 11. Ideally from a feed, agricultural, mill, or food manufacturing background.
 12. Strong communicator with exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills.
 13. Hands-on approach and willingness to understand all areas of production.
 14. Knowledge of machinery maintenance and shift-based operations is an advantage.
 15. Flexible and dependable – available for contact during busy production periods.
 16. Full UK driving licence and ability to commute to the Norfolk site.
