We are seeking a talented and experiencedYear1Teacherto join our vibrant and inclusive primary school inBirminghamfromSeptember 2025. This is afull-time, permanentposition for a confident practitioner who understands the importance of a smooth transition from EYFS to Key Stage 1, and who can provide a calm, structured and engaging learning environment.
About the Role
You will take full responsibility for aYear1 class, delivering the KS1 curriculum in a way that supports progress, independence and emotional development. The role requires ateacherwith excellent knowledge of early phonics, early maths and theYear1 assessment framework. This is a key phase in children’s development, and we are looking for someone who can build on the strong foundations of EYFS and ensure all pupils thrive.

We Are Looking For
* A qualifiedteacher(QTS) withat least one fullyearof KS1 classroom experience
* Deep understanding of theYear1 curriculum, phonics (e.g. Little Wandle, Read Write Inc.), and age-related expectations
* Strong classroom management and an inclusive teaching approach
* Someone who is well-organised, reflective and committed to delivering high-quality teaching
* A team player who values collaboration and professional dialogue
* Ateacherwho can maintain high expectations while nurturing young learners’ confidence and independence.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
