We would like to invite applications for a Consultant Neurophysiologist to join our Dorset-wide Neurophysiology team. This posts will be primarily based at Poole Hospital and the successful candidate will work in partnership with our substantive consultants team running clinics across Poole and Dorset County Hospitals. The Neurophysiology Department is part of the Networked Medicine directorate and offers a wide range of services. Main duties of the job The main purpose of the post is to support the provision of highest quality patient care through personal actions and continuous improvement. The Appointee will undertake clinics at Poole hospital. There may be a requirement to cover the service at other sites as the post evolves. As part of our commitment to delivering high-quality care across seven days, this post may involve participation in an out-of-hours rota, including evenings, weekends, and/or bank holidays, in accordance with service needs. Any work undertaken outside standard hours/PA’s will attract remuneration in line with the respective NHS Medical and Dental Terms and Conditions of Service. Person specification Qualifications Essential criteria MRCP (UK) or an equivalent qualification Entry on the General Medical Council (GMC) Specialist Register for Neurophys or CCT in next 6 months Experience Essential criteria Satisfactory training in Neurophysiology Ability & Knowledge Essential criteria Wide knowledge of Neurophysiology Audit Essential criteria Experience in hospital clinical audit Research Essential criteria An understanding of the Research process Management ability Essential criteria Management ability Other requirements Essential criteria Innovative, committed, hard working. Proficient in both written and verbal communication skills in English
