Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: Rochdale, Lancashire
Salary: £100 per day (PAYE)
Contract Type: Full Time
Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Axcis Education is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a vibrant primary school in Rochdale, Lancashire. We are looking for a professional who is committed to providing exceptional PPA cover across Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2, with the versatility to step in for absence cover when required.
Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging lessons, planned by the class teacher, to whole classes during teacher PPA time.
* Lead small groups and work one on one with students, providing tailored support and intervention.
* Support with the planning and preparation of activities and classroom resources.
* Assist in the evaluation and assessment of pupils' progress under the guidance of the class teacher.
* Work collaboratively with classroom teachers and support staff to enhance the learning environment.
* Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
* Support the personal, social, and academic development of students.
* Utilize strategies to support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Requirements
* HLTA qualification or higher (essential).
* Proven experience working as a Teaching Assistant in UK schools.
* Clear understanding and experience of working with students with SEND.
* Excellent classroom management skills.
* Strong communication skills with fluent spoken English.
* Experience leading lessons and teaching whole classes.
