Reporting to the Financial Controller of Retail, Digital & Group Services, you will join a friendly, talented team of professionals responsible for performing general accounting functions and communicating financial position, insight, governance, and control within the business.
This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract
What you will be doing as a Management Accountant
1. Support the recording, reconciliation, and analysis of accounting activities and period-end close activities in accordance with agreed schedules.
2. Provide insights into results during period-end close to FP&A and Business Partner teams, focusing on key cost drivers.
3. Produce and prepare audited financial information and technical accounting papers in line with standards; support year-end audits.
4. Work across the finance team to document, align, and improve processes to enhance efficiency and consistency.
5. Support regulatory accounting returns, monitor external reporting requirements, and research accounting issues.
6. Respond to ad hoc analytics requests to support Business Partners with cost visibility, business case preparation, and financial performance analysis.
What you should bring to the role
* A qualified CIMA/ACCA or ACA Accountant, preferably with experience in a large organization, either in Practice or Industry.
* Ability to prioritize multiple projects effectively to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Capability to work well independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to analyze data and build stakeholder relationships.
