Reception Teaching Assistant – Read Write Inc Specialist
Milk Education is working closely with a nurturing and inclusive primary school in the L25 area to appoint a passionate Reception Teaching Assistant with a specialism in Read Write Inc (RWI) phonics. This is a full-time, long-term role starting in September 2025, perfect for someone confident delivering early phonics support in an EYFS setting.
About the Role:
1. Supporting the Reception class teacher with day-to-day learning and routines
2. Delivering targeted phonics sessions using the Read Write Inc programme
3. Supporting early reading, writing, and language development
4. Working with small groups and 1:1 to boost early literacy
5. Creating a fun, language-rich learning environment
6. Assisting with classroom organisation, outdoor learning, and play-based activities
What We’re Looking For:
7. Strong experience using the Read Write Inc (RWI) programme in a school setting
8. EYFS or KS1 classroom experience, ideally in Reception
9. A patient, enthusiastic, and child-led approach to learning
10. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
