If you are ambitious and looking to progress your career in warehouse operations, join us as a Warehouse Team Manager at our Fresh Direct (a Sysco Company) Depot in Bicester, Oxfordshire.
You will be responsible for ensuring your team of warehouse operatives work safely and efficiently, achieving key targets. Lead by example, drive high performance through effective communication, teamwork, and strong relationships. Collaborate with the shift manager to plan workload and develop your team's skills to support their career goals and increase shift capability. The role involves paperwork and administration, requiring attention to detail and accuracy.
This busy role requires quick thinking and proactive problem-solving to address operational challenges, escalating issues when necessary. You will seek ways to improve processes and challenge current practices.
To succeed as a Warehouse Team Manager, you should have experience leading a team in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment, preferably in a food-related or similar field. Experience in warehouse operations is advantageous. A proven track record in performance management and KPI achievement is essential. You should be eager to learn, understand the business quickly, and manage your team effectively. Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office, is required. You must be comfortable working in a cool environment (thermal uniform provided), able to lift up to 25kg, and ideally have your own transport.
