Hours: Full-Time, 37 hours per week (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm)
Contract Type: 6-month assignment (with potential to extend)

About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Administrative Assistant to support the County Court section at the Royal Courts of Justice. A large part of this role will involve working in the basement records area, where you'll help organise, move, and securely dispose of archived case files.
This role is a mix of physical work (lifting and carrying boxes) and administrative duties, making it ideal for someone who's organised, hands-on, and happy to get involved in a variety of tasks.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Basement Records Management - Sort, organise, and securely dispose of archived case files in line with court procedures.
Heavy Lifting - Move, carry, and lift boxes of files as part of the archiving process.
General Administration - Filing, scanning, photocopying, and handling court paperwork.
Confidential Information - Manage sensitive legal documents with care and accuracy.
File Preparation & Delivery - Collect, prepare, and distribute case bundles when needed.
Customer Service - Assist staff, legal professionals, and court users with queries in a professional and helpful manner.
Team Support - Provide day-to-day assistance to colleagues across the County Court section of the RCJ.
Skills & Experience Required
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Comfortable with physical, task-based work (including heavy lifting).
Professional, discreet, and reliable at all times.
Able to work independently while also being a strong team player.
This role is fully on-site at the Royal Courts of Justice.
A DBS check and full security clearance (approx. 2-3 eeks) are required.
References covering the last 3 years and address checks covering the last 5 years will also be required.
