Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our well established, friendly team in providing exceptional care to residents in a residential care home setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a drive for excellence, and the ability to communicate effectively with both residents and staff. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that care plans are executed with the utmost attention to detail and empathy. Paid breaks and meal provided.
Duties
* Supervise and support care staff members, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
* Assist in the development and implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
* Provide personal care to residents, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility.
* Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
* Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition using IT systems.
* Promote a safe and hygienic environment within the care home by adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Engage residents in social activities that enhance their quality of life and well-being.
Experience
* Previous experience in senior care or a similar role is preferred, demonstrating a solid understanding of the needs of elderly individuals.
* Proven supervisory or leadership experience is highly desirable.
* Strong communication skills are essential for liaising with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals.
* Familiarity with care plans and IT systems used in healthcare settings will be an advantage.
