Job Description – Quality Engineer Location: St Neots or Wakefield, UK Department: Quality Role Overview As a Quality Engineer, you will play a pivotal and largely autonomous role in ensuring that our customers and colleagues receive only the highest standards of quality. Working across our St Neots or Wakefield facilities, you will actively contribute to building a culture of excellence, ensuring robust processes, and driving continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Develop, share, and enhance knowledge of quality processes within the UK and across the Europe North area. Collaborate with Engineering teams on high-value projects, ensuring processes are followed and supporting production through review of FMEAs, inspection/test plans, and work instructions. Perform incoming and final inspections prior to delivery to customers. Partner with Purchasing to manage suppliers, address quality-related issues, and remove obstacles to achieving business excellence. Monitor and report on KPIs, creating business information reports. Work with suppliers to implement and manage improvement actions. Act as a key SAP user, supporting and training associates. Investigate customer claims and perform root cause analysis using quality tools. Review and collate material and test certification to compile customer documentation packs. Manage inspection and test equipment systems, ensuring proper calibration, handling, and storage of measurement tools. Qualifications & Experience Essential: Minimum HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Certified Auditor Proven experience in a similar industry/role Strong written and spoken English Proficiency in problem-solving tools (e.g., 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa) Desirable: Working knowledge of SAP Experience working with hydraulics Rate of Pay: Competitive Salary£ Please click to apply or call, press option 2 and ask to speak to Freddie.
