Overview
Business Development Manager, Demand - Lodging, Ground & Sea role at Sabre Corporation. This strategic and global role within the Sabre LGS (Lodging, Ground & Sea) organization is responsible for generating demand for our portfolio of products, including hotel, cars, rail, tours/attractions, and other ancillary products. The lodging segment is a key focus area and one of six growth areas identified across the company. The role works closely with commercial teams to increase sales within EMEA and globally. The role is customer-facing, engaging senior executives of current and prospective travel agencies, and requires close collaboration with Sabre’s agency sales team.
The successful candidate will lead Business Development in EMEA focused on LGS products (especially Hotels) and provide strategic direction to achieve business targets. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker and dynamic leader with a proven track record of collaborating in a matrix organization while growing high-performance teams. The role requires a deep understanding of the travel ecosystem and the ability to position and sell API-based services to travel agencies, TMCs, and OBTs, enabling seamless integration for both supply and agency partners. An understanding of technology stacks used at touch points including hotel reservation and back-office systems will be preferred. In addition to revenue and booking targets, the role will provide input to Product Strategy on how to enhance offerings and prioritize future roadmap items for the managed travel category. The role will work with EMEA agency customers, agency sales teams, product strategy, supply teams, and onboarding/delivery teams to identify pain points and opportunities to deliver value. The candidate should amplify Sabre’s value in the managed travel category and position Sabre as a trusted advisor and strategic partner.
Key Responsibilities
* Able to drive demand across agency partners to deliver and exceed plan numbers. Collaborate with Sabre Agency Sales executives to develop sales strategies to meet targets.
* Be the customer advocate within Sabre and drive product requirements, delivery, and adoption across demand (agency) partners. Work with delivery and onboarding teams to ensure product adoption for new enhancements. Collaborate across Sales, Product, Technology, HR, Marketing, Finance and Operations to prioritize customer needs.
* Develop strategies to deliver value and growth for partners with a focus on Sabre becoming a leading B2B travel platform.
* Grow and maintain senior-level relationships within EMEA and with agencies and API/OTB clients (especially product and strategy).
* Represent Sabre to large Supply and hotel partners in the EMEA region to shape supply and content strategies.
* Understand travel distribution market dynamics and emerging models to grow market share and product adoption.
* Client stewardship – work with demand partners and commercial teams in a consultative role identifying trends and providing Sabre solutions.
* Contribute to strategic planning for LGS and operationalize annual EMEA goals with the supply teams to develop objectives and action plans.
Qualifications
* Strong domain experience preferred in the Hospitality or Ground Transportation industry.
* Understanding of technology solutions in the travel ecosystem with knowledge of data flow and API-relevant parameters.
* 10+ years of relevant experience; 5+ years in leading projects in technical sales, sales enablement, supply distribution, or solution consulting, preferably in travel technology.
* Ability to work in a large, fast-paced, matrix-driven global organization.
* Significant experience achieving business targets and exceptional communications and executive presence.
