Job title: EC&I Design Engineer Job Type: Contract IR35 Status: Inside IR35 Start date: ASAP - Subject to vetting Duration: 12 Months Pay rate: Depending on experience Location: Reading, Berkshire Hybrid/Remote Working: Hybrid working available Hours of work: 40 hours per week - 5 day week then 4 day week Role information: - Provide electrical / control and instrumentation designs such that utilities, infrastructure, engineering processes, equipment and facilities are compliant with legislation, standards and requirements associated with engineering design throughout the facility lifecycle. Qualifications/Experience Required - Deliver electrical / control and instrumentation designs that meet safety and performance requirements. - Maintain a comprehensive understanding of relevant legislative documentation / standards associated with electrical engineering. - Application of knowledge to confirm designs are prepared which comply with relevant legislation, standards and requirements. - Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality, and be a great team player. - HNC / HND or equivalent in electrical engineering or other related discipline - Deliver electrical / control and instrumentation designs that address defined requirements, across the full engineering lifecycle, to a high standard. - Ensure the design intent is maintained throughout the lifecycle, liaising with other discipline areas to ensure overall design intent is maintained. - Ensure compliance with Company Assurance Environment, Safety, Health and Quality (ESH&Q) and statutory requirements. - Ensure application of standards is proportionate and that engineering best practice is adopted.
