Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a hybrid position.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
In this role, you will lead the delivery of projects focused on legacy system transformation, supplier management, and governance enhancement within a complex programme environment. You’ll take ownership of project planning, execution, reporting, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring delivery remains aligned to business objectives, governance standards, and agreed timelines.
You’ll work closely with internal teams, technical specialists, suppliers, and senior stakeholders to coordinate project activities, manage dependencies, and resolve challenges proactively. Alongside delivering successful outcomes, you’ll help drive continuous improvement across project controls, governance processes, and supplier engagement practices, contributing to the long-term success and resilience of the programme.
Key responsibilities
•Lead & Deliver end-to-end project management across transformation initiatives
•Manage & Coordinate project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and dependencies
•Engage & Influence internal stakeholders, suppliers, and delivery partners
•Oversee & Improve supplier performance, governance, and contract compliance
•Facilitate & Report project governance activities, steering meetings, and status updates
•Support & Drive legacy application transition and transformation activities
•Identify & Mitigate delivery risks, issues, and operational challenges
•Contribute & Enhance continuous improvement initiatives and project best practices
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
To succeed in this role, you should bring strong experience delivering medium to large-scale IT or business change projects within complex environments. You’ll have excellent stakeholder and supplier management skills, a structured approach to governance and delivery, and the ability to balance strategic priorities with operational execution.
Essential qualifications
•Proven experience delivering IT or business transformation projects as a Project Manager
•Strong understanding of governance frameworks, project controls, and assurance processes
•Experience managing third-party suppliers, vendors, or managed service providers
•Knowledge of legacy application migration or transformation within enterprise environments
•Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across technical and business audiences
•Experience managing project budgets, reporting, contracts, and dependencies
•Proficiency with project management methodologies such as PRINCE2, Agile, or hybrid delivery
•Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes within complex programme environments
