Job Description
Due to significant product growth, we are now looking for a Research Associate to join our in-house manufacturing team here in Cambridge on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a lab-based role where you will work closely with other Purification & Conjugation team members. You will be responsible for performing a wide range of purification techniques, preparing antibody and peptide conjugates to various labels, producing high-quality results to meet high throughput targets, and assisting with daily lab operations.
* Support the team in lab work, ensuring production meets high-quality standards. Report any missed specifications.
* Carry out purification and conjugation processes to deliver experiments in line with schedules.
* Develop effective relationships across different teams within Abcam.
* Ensure compliance with Quality policies, SOPs, and Health and Safety procedures.

Qualifications
You should have a degree in biological sciences or equivalent practical laboratory experience. You should understand protein purification techniques (Affinity, SEC, IEX, HIC) and conjugation methods. Experience with pipetting, materials handling, and working to deadlines is essential.
You must work precisely, follow instructions, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively. Being an enthusiastic team player, self-motivated, organized, and results-driven in a fast-paced environment is crucial. Experience with AKTA chromatography systems and Unicorn software is a plus.
If this sounds like you and you want to be part of a growing, innovative company aiming to be a leader in life sciences, please apply now!
