Are you looking for an exciting development opportunity within the Engineering field?
The Doncaster business unit has manufactured glass containers since 1968 and is part of a leading supplier in glass packaging solutions for the world’s leading brands such as Coca Cola, Corona and Nestle. We are seeking to strengthen our team with the recruitment a number of Apprentices at Ardagh Glass Doncaster.
Our apprenticeship programme gives you the opportunity to experience all engineering departments within the plant whilst attending college, gain a nationally recognised qualification & carry out workplace training in a challenging yet exciting manufacturing industry!
Responsibilities:
1. Assisting the engineering teams with maintenance tasks to learn about the application of engineering
2. Developing skills in Electrical/Mechanical engineering within a manufacturing work environment
3. Gaining a sound knowledge of the plant equipment and facilities
4. Developing an understanding of Continuous Improvement
5. Familiarisation with the company’s systems and procedures
6. Sourcing and updating engineering documentation and inputting engineering activities into a maintenance system
Required skills / qualifications:
7. Have an interest in manufacturing engineering
8. Have strong communication skills and an ability to work as part of a team
9. Have a high regard for safety, quality, compliance, systems and procedures
10. A technical mind with a methodical approach to tasks and problems
11. Have a minimum grade 4 (C) GCSE or above in Maths, English and Science
What we offer
12. Salary Minimum Year 1 £12,913.58 - £22,138 Maximum Year 4 *Increase to salary is due once wage award is confirmed.
13. Salary sacrifice pension scheme with up to 10% matched contributions
14. Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week., plus 25 days holiday + 8 statutory holidays
