CNC PROGRAMMER / SETTER / OPERATOR - TURNING
1 X AM Shift, 1 X PM Shift.
AM: 06:00am - 14:00pm Monday to Friday
PM: 14:00pm - 23:00pm Monday to Thursday / 14:00pm - 17:30pm Friday

Duties
* Set up and operate CNC Lathes (Mazak & Mori Seiki) to produce precision rolls and components.
* Interpret technical drawings and CAD models producing CAM (Edgecam) programmes.
* Load materials into machines and monitor machining processes.
* Adjust machine settings and tool offsets to ensure quality and efficiency.
* Inspect finished products using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
* Maintain equipment and perform routine preventive maintenance.
* Maintain accurate production records and adhere to job order specifications.
* Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
* Collaborate with engineers and quality control to ensure specifications are met.
* Assist in the development of new and existing manufacturing processes and procedures to optimise performance
* Train other personnel in the use of the machines and techniques, including your team and apprentices.
* Daily completion of digital timesheets and work cards
* Carry out any other duties within the capability of the job holder.
Experience
* Experience with CAD/CAM software (EdgeCam etc.)
* Programming skills for CNC machines (Mazatrol, Fanuc etc)
* Apprentice trained with HNC qualification desirable.
* Proven experience as a CNC operator/machinist/programmer (typically 3+ years)
* Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical schematics.
* Proficient in using precision measuring instruments.
* Experience in manufacturing turned parts with tolerances to 0.025mm.
* Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
