Pay Range: £160 – £250 per day (depending on experience)
Overview
A secondary school in Fareham is seeking an English Teacher to join their team from January 2026. This full-time, long-term role involves teaching English across Key Stages 3 and 4, offering an excellent opportunity to inspire students through creative, engaging, and well-structured lessons.

Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality English lessons across KS3 and KS4.
Plan and deliver engaging lessons that develop reading, writing, and analytical skills.
Assess, record, and report on student progress in line with school policies.
Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that promotes academic growth.
Work collaboratively with colleagues within the English department to share best practice and develop resources.
Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular and enrichment activities.

Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – desirable.
Degree in English or a related subject.
Experience teaching English at Key Stage 3 and 4.
Strong subject knowledge and passion for English literature and language.
Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
Current valid DBS (on the Update Service) or willingness to obtain one.
Creative, enthusiastic, and committed to delivering engaging learning experiences.
