The Opportunity
As our Compliance & Regulations Manager for the Central Region, you’ll lead an annual cycle of assurance visits (c. 36 CQC-registered services) and benchmarking exercises, ensuring every service is Inspection-ready. You’ll partner closely with our Quality and Operations teams, providing data-driven insights, “softer intelligence,” and pragmatic recommendations to maintain consistency and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver at least 6 on-site compliance reviews per month (including overnight stays as required)
- Build and maintain relationships with Registered Managers, Operational colleagues, and external regulators (CQC, CIW)
- Gather, analyse, and report quantitative and qualitative data to benchmark service performance
- Highlight regulatory risks and support development of action plans, without owning day-to-day fixes
- Contribute to policy, procedure, and governance updates in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams
- Present clear, constructive feedback, balancing empathy with accountability
What We’re Looking For
- Proven compliance, audit or quality-assurance experience in a regulated environment (e.g. private social care, supported housing, mental-health services)
- Direct exposure to CQC (or equivalent) regulation strongly preferred; adjacent experience considered
- Hands-on experience with data analysis and quality-improvement methodologies
- Strong communicator who delivers messages clearly and constructively
- Self-starter who thrives on travel (c. 4 days/week) and works autonomously—ideally based in Leicestershire/Nottinghamshire or East England
- Empathetic, resilient, and adept at working with multi-disciplinary teams
Why this Organisation?
- Competitive salary and car allowance
- Flexible, home-based working with national travel support
- Opportunity to shape regional compliance assurance programme
- Join a values-driven organisation committed to excellence, integrity, and empathy
