Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting passionate and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) for full-time positions in SEN schools across Salford, Wigan, Bolton, and Warrington, starting September 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in specialist primary and secondary settings supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, moderate to severe learning difficulties (MLD/SLD), and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH).
* Deliver pre-planned lessons or interventions under the direction of the teacher or SENCO
* Provide 1:1 or small group support tailored to pupils' EHCPs
* Help manage classroom behaviour in line with individual behaviour plans
* Assist in planning, tracking, and assessing learning progress
* Support with personal care or sensory needs where required
* Create a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment
* Qualified HLTA status (or equivalent experience in an SEN setting)
* Full-time availability, Monday to Friday, term time only
* Strong behaviour management and communication skills
* Experience supporting pupils with SEN or SEMH needs
* A calm, patient, and resilient attitude
