Your Role
We are looking for a Graduate Town Planner to be based in Birmingham, joining our 2025 Graduate Programme. As a Stantec graduate, you will collaborate with your team and wider cohort, developing your town planning expertise within an exciting interdisciplinary environment. You will contribute to a broad range of projects, from initial research and site appraisals to application preparation, community engagement, plan promotion, and planning appeals in the residential, commercial, industrial and mixed-use sectors. You will also assist with project coordination and management, ensuring projects run smoothly. Our dynamic team is based in the heart of Birmingham city centre, with easy access to New Street, Moor Street and Snow Hill stations. You will work on everything from small-scale developments to large-scale regeneration schemes, providing expert planning advice to our clients. We offer a supportive environment with opportunities for professional development, including full APC support. In this role you will contribute to development projects through the Local Development Framework, conduct thorough site research and prepare planning applications and statements. Your role will also involve managing planning appeals, building strong client relationships, and overseeing smaller projects while contributing to larger, complex schemes.
