Domestic Assistant - Community Aged Care
As a Support Services Worker within Anglicare, you will be part of a team of people who work in the community in our clients' homes. This service is part of their Home Care Package; some clients require assistance around the home with tasks they can no longer do themselves. This valuable service allows them to remain in the homes they love.
Our Stafford Home and Community service is seeking Part-time Service Support Workers. Your invaluable support in this task varies for each client, including general household cleaning, laundry, cooking a meal, and providing social support, such as having a cup of tea and a chat. This service helps to maintain a positive outlook on an individual's life.
About you
* Comfortable in the use of housekeeping equipment
* Able to follow domestic care plans
* Clear communicator who can maintain professional boundaries with clients and their families
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively with the elderly
* Physically fit, reliable, enthusiastic, and friendly
* A Certificate II or III in Asset Maintenance (Cleaning Operations) will be highly regarded but not required
* Current Driver Licence and your own reliable vehicle
* A National Police Certificate
* Tetanus and Hepatitis B shots (or willingness to obtain)
