Anderson Knight Recruitment is working with a well-established organisation based in Glasgow City Centre to recruit an Employee Relations Adviser on a fixed-term contract for up to 9 months.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional with strong employee relations expertise to join a collaborative and fast-paced People team. The role offers hybrid working, with 2–3 days per week working from home.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting managers and employees across a broad range of employee relations matters while contributing to wider people initiatives and organisational projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a varied employee relations caseload, providing advice and guidance on disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance, and other people-related matters
* Support the review, development, and implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance and best practice
* Provide practical and commercially focused HR advice to managers across the business
* Deliver coaching, guidance, and training to managers to build confidence and capability in handling people matters
* Analyse HR trends and employee relations data to identify themes, risks, and areas for improvement
* Prepare reports and insights to support decision-making and wider people strategies
* Work collaboratively with stakeholders across the organisation to support a positive and inclusive working environment
* Support employee wellbeing initiatives and contribute to a positive employee experience
* Assist with organisational change activity and support wider people and culture initiatives where required
Essential Criteria
* Previous experience within an Employee Relations or generalist HR role with a strong ER focus
* Sound knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice
* Experience managing complex employee relations cases independently
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
* CIPD qualification or working towards qualification is desirable
