Compliance Officer
Location: Marple, Stockport
Salary: £25,500k – £27k DOE

Dempster Management Services, a family-run company specialising in residential block management, are seeking a Compliance Officer to join our small, friendly, and growing team in Stockport.
About the Role
In this role, you'll be at the heart of keeping our portfolio of residential buildings safe, compliant, and well maintained. You'll arrange and monitor statutory safety inspections, maintain accurate records, and support our Property Managers with both compliance matters and ad-hoc tasks.
This role is ideal for someone organised, detail-focused, and motivated to grow their career in property management.
What you'll be doing
* Booking and tracking statutory building compliance inspections (fire, lifts, water hygiene, asbestos, electrical, etc.).
* Maintaining accurate compliance records and certification.
* Advising Property Managers on remedial works following inspections.
* Assisting with issuing and tracking contractor work orders.
* Supporting Property Managers with ad-hoc tasks.
* Liaising confidently with contractors, residents, and stakeholders.
* Preparing clear compliance updates and reports.
* Flagging risks and escalating non-compliance issues promptly.
What we're looking for
Essential
* Brilliant organisational skills with a sharp eye for detail.
* Strong communication skills and confidence working with contractors and colleagues.
* Proficient IT skills, particularly Excel and compliance tracking systems.
* A proactive, problem-solving mindset.
Desirable
* Experience in compliance, property, or facilities management.
* Knowledge of building safety requirements.
