Overview of the role Type of employment: Full-Time/Permanent Salary: Competitive Industry: Media Function: Incisive Works Location: London, Covent Garden Working Pattern: Hybrid Incisive Works is hiring a content strategist to work on projects for its financial services and sustainability brands. The role of a content strategist is exciting and varied. They will work directly with clients and be responsible for the content planning/strategy, creative development and project management and delivery of content- be it editorial articles, copywriting for websites, designing infographics, or storyboarding and recording videos and podcasts. It is a pivotal role in the team, that requires direct client engagement, and someone comfortable leading and developing long-term relationships with them. The content strategist will be supported by a strong team of former journalists, editors, designers, video and marketing specialists that make up the Incisive Works team. The content strategist will be offered autonomy to own the content creation process and carve out a project manager-style role for themselves in this hybrid journalism/marketing world - whilst also benefiting from a team with specialist skills. Key responsibilities: Developing content solutions and marketing strategies for clients - which can include FTSE names from the world of fund management, financial advisers, pension trustees & more. Delivering engaging thought leadership content. The content will vary depending on the project, but may include researching specific areas of the market, interviewing experts, writing up long and short form content for digital mediums, storyboarding videos/podcasts and being involved in the creative process to launch them. Manage projects on a day-to day basis alongside client relationships. A key part of this job is ensuring we build strong relationships with the people we work with over the course of a project - and maintain them. Editing/proofreading work. Work with designers to develop innovatively designed content. Build storyboard content that transfers to high-quality videos - from Q&As in our purpose-built London studio to offsite shoots anywhere in the UK. This role may require you to present videos as well. Work alongside the team to develop new creative concepts - helping Incisive Works to deliver better, evermore creative, and personalised content for our clients What we value Proven experience as a writer/editor. At its core, this role is about storytelling and creative ideas, so we are looking for someone who is inquisitive and able to generate high-quality, engaging ideas about markets. Specifically, they must be a good writer, and a background in journalism/copywriting or similar is key. Whilst some marketing experience would be a bonus, this is not a necessity and we will consider good writers without this. Market knowledge. The audience we work with is B2B (ie; non-consumer), so the ideal candidate will have at the very least a basic/good knowledge of business/economics and the investment and/or the green business landscape. A organised multi-tasker able to work on their own initiative and pre-empt client needs. The candidate must be comfortable managing a number of clients and projects at different stages in an organised manner. Key to this is managing communications/timelines accordingly with a hands-on approach to all tasks.
