Early Years Assessors -Nationwide
The Early Years Alliance is the largest early years membership organisation and voluntary sector provider of quality affordable childcare and education in England. An educational charity, the Alliance represents the interests of over 14,000 member settings who deliver care and learning to over 800,000 families every year.
The Alliance provides early years qualifications and apprenticeships across England, and we are looking for freelance assessors to support us in delivering our training programmes.
We are seeking enthusiastic and passionate assessors to deliver our high-quality early years training, including Apprenticeships, standalone qualifications, and professional development programmes.
We are looking for experienced assessors with up-to-date knowledge of the National Occupational Standards in Child Care and the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, who are keen to ensure our teaching programme remains of the highest quality and continues to produce excellent early years educators.

Main duties:
Successful candidates will be responsible for delivering virtual classroom sessions, assessing learner work, and providing constructive feedback. Travelling to complete workplace assessments, employer/learner 12-week reviews, and supporting the endpoint assessment process for apprentice learners will also form part of this role. Other duties include:
* Delivering training that inspires and motivates learners to achieve their personal and career objectives and qualifications.
* Planning and teaching effective learning for diverse groups or individuals in a safe and inclusive environment, including virtual classrooms, face-to-face, and in workplaces.
* Assessing with fairness and integrity, ensuring learners receive constructive and timely feedback to understand their achievements and areas for improvement.
* Maintaining own occupational CPD annually.
* Attending update meetings, standardisation, and CPD as needed.
Essential criteria:
* Hold an accepted vocational assessor qualification, e.g., A1 or Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement.
* Hold a teaching qualification, e.g., Cert Ed, L3 AET, L4 CET, L5 DET.
* Support learners in developing their English and maths skills, including functional skills.
* Own transport and willingness to travel.
* Confidence in supporting teaching, learning, and assessment using ICT, Teams, and Microsoft.
* Ability to maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills in the subject/vocational area and to undertake workplace assessments and monitoring visits within reasonable distances.
* Flexibility and ability to work as part of a team.
