Summary:
NYH Property, operating in partnership with North Yorkshire Council, is seeking an experienced, hands-on Construction Supervisor to oversee the successful delivery of planned maintenance projects across a diverse portfolio of public and commercial properties throughout North Yorkshire. The ideal candidate will supervise multi-trade teams on site, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, schedule, and budget. This role blends public sector values with a commercial approach and requires strong leadership, comprehensive knowledge of multiple trades, and a commitment to rigorous health and safety compliance.
Responsibilities:
* Directly supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of construction and highways maintenance activities across various sites.
* Be the primary person responsible for ensuring and enforcing strict adherence to all relevant health and safety regulations on site.
* Line manage operatives, including setting daily tasks, monitoring performance, and actively supporting their professional development.
* Act as the primary liaison with contractors and internal stakeholders.
* Lead and actively participate in Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) meetings to ensure effective planning and collaboration.
Essentials:
* Proven, hands-on experience working across multiple trades in a property maintenance or construction environment.
* SMSTS, CSCS Managers Card, First Aid at Work, CITB MAP H&S Test.
* Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel in North Yorkshire.
* Please note:
* You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
* You should have right to work in U.K.
* This role requires an Enhanced DBS.
