The Purina Sales team invites you to a challenging opportunity that will test your leadership and enable you to deliver a profitable, share‑winning plan by creating, selling, and executing joint business plans with customers across the Specialist Channel.
Your Impact
As Senior National Account Manager, you will manage the full P&L for the customer/category/format, including Sales Revenue, Trade Spend, Promotional ROI, Market Share, and Profit targets. You will work closely with the Customer Business Team and the Category Development Team to deliver growth and market share.
* Develop and lead the negotiation of annual Customer Business Plans that deliver against internal and external strategies and KPI.
* Analyze data sets (EPOS, Nielsen, CIM, SRM) to build commercial plans that optimize KPI delivery.
* Execute Customer Plans accurately, providing excellent communication to Customers and completing all required internal and external documentation.
* Lead Customer Contact Strategy and build powerful relationships cross‑functionally at appropriate levels.
* Indirectly lead Category and Marketing teams to facilitate best‑in‑class category strategies and activation.
* Work with the category team to ensure successful delivery of strategic NPD in agreed distribution.
* Deploy customer, shopper and category insights to identify optimum portfolio mix for customer and shopper.
* Own and develop promotional plans, including revenue, trade spend, and promotion activation details.
* Participate and provide input into all relevant internal planning processes (weekly, monthly, quarterly) and MBP.
* Support and coordinate National Account Managers in the business unit.
Your Ingredients for Success
To be successful, you’ll already have a breadth of sales or commercial experience within FMCG categories. You should be a strategic thinker with strong commercial awareness, excellent numeracy skills, and the ability to communicate persuasively to stakeholders. We seek an experienced sales professional with the following skills and experience:
* Agile thinking and inspirational leadership in a dynamic marketplace.
* Category management knowledge.
* Previous management of a large trade spend budget.
* Negotiating skills and experience managing complexity and ambiguity.
* Curiosity and initiative when faced with obstacles.
* Ability to manage and lead structured negotiations.
* Results‑focused and highly driven.
* Flexibility to travel to retailer stores across the UK as required.
