The Opportunity Were looking for Electrical Design Engineers at intermediate and senior/principal levels to join our growing building services team. Whether you're at the beginning of your career or bring extensive experience, this is an opportunity to design and deliver sustainable, efficient, and innovative electrical systems that enhance the performance and safety of diverse environments. Youll be involved in every stage of the project lifecyclefrom feasibility studies and detailed design to completionworking closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop high-quality engineering solutions that make a tangible difference. Youll be involved in the design and delivery of electrical systems across a wide range of projects & sectors, including lighting, power distribution, emergency systems, fire alarms, and data networks. At the intermediate level, youll support the production of detailed designs, perform calculations, and ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., BS 7671). Youll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to practical, energy-efficient solutionsideal for someone ready to take the next step in their career. At the senior level, youll lead on complex projects, oversee technical quality, and mentor junior engineers. Youll work closely with clients, architects, and other disciplines, contributing to strategic decisions and ensuring high standards of delivery across all stages of design and construction. Were looking for candidates who: Have a degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or equivalent. You will either be chartered, working towards chartership or be keen to work for a company who will support you through your chartership journey. (IET / CIBSE) Have a demonstrable background in the field of electrical building services design from first principles, including the design of HV, LV systems, lighting and lighting controls, fire Alarm systems, security & access control, renewable energy electrical design, and earthing across a diverse range of project types. (We would also consider candidates looking to move into building services from power or fire systems engineering) Are proficient in BIM environments, particularly using Revit, and have experience with design software packages such as ProDesign/Dialux / SKM/ETAP/Amtech (Trimble). Demonstrate strong Leadership & Strategic Leadership skills (Senior level) to lead complex, multidisciplinary projects and manage project teams; provide technical oversight, quality assurance, and strategic direction and support business development, client engagement & innovation in sustainable and digital engineering.
