The role requires excellent communication, IT, organisational, and clinical skills to support children, young people, parents, professionals, and multi-agencies.
The aim is to deliver the Healthy Child Programme to school-aged children in Sefton, sharing public health information and interventions. The role also involves managing a safeguarding caseload, exposing staff to complex public health issues.
A thorough preceptorship/induction, including supervision and safeguarding support, will be provided to successful applicants.
Main duties of the job
The Children's service supports children, young people, and families within a progressive universal model, offering screening, developmental reviews, and guidance aligned with The Healthy Child Program 0-19 years (DH, 2023).

Collaboration with voluntary and statutory agencies is essential to achieve positive health outcomes.
The post may include responsibility for designated schools as the named health professional, working within the SCPHN team to assess care needs, implement, and evaluate care programs for children, young people, and families.
