Job Title: Site Supervisor – Clean Water Treatment Plant Location: London, UK Competitive pay, dependent on experience About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Supervisor to oversee works on a clean water treatment plant project based in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of on-site operations, ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with project specifications and client requirements. You will play a key role in maintaining safety standards, coordinating site teams, and ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures. Key Responsibilities: * Supervise and coordinate all site activities related to clean water treatment works, including civil, mechanical, and electrical operations. * Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with company and client HSE policies. * Conduct daily briefings, toolbox talks, and site inductions. * Implement and monitor method statements, risk assessments, and permit-to-work systems. * Manage and motivate site operatives and subcontractors. * Liaise with project managers, engineers, and client representatives to ensure smooth project delivery. * Ensure all materials, plant, and equipment are used efficiently and safely. * Maintain accurate records, including site diaries, progress reports, and inspection checklists. * Promote a strong health and safety culture and lead by example on site. Essential Qualifications & Certifications: Candidates must hold the following valid certifications: * SSSTS – Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme * EUSR SHEA Water * EUSR National Water Hygiene (Blue Card) * EUSR Abrasive Wheels * Cable Avoidance Training (HSG47) * Manual Handling * Street Works (NRSWA Supervisor) * First Aid at Work Essential Experience & Skills: * Proven experience supervising works on clean water or water treatment plant projects. * Strong understanding of water industry health, safety, and environmental standards. * Good leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage multi-discipline teams. * Experience working with Tier 1 or utility contractors preferred. * Ability to interpret technical drawings, RAMS, and work schedules. * Full UK driving licence. Desirable: * Confined Spaces qualification. * NVQ Level 3 (or higher) in Construction or related discipline. * Experience within Thames Water, Affinity Water, or similar water frameworks
