Exciting opportunity for an experienced, dynamic Construction / Operations Director to join a Tier 1 Principal Contractor based in Central London. This contractor operates within the public and private sector on projects up to £150 million.
About the Role
The role entails providing leadership within the region and overseeing the implementation of business systems and strategies. Your direct report will be the Managing Director, and you will be the focal point for driving consistency and improving standards in project delivery.
You will be responsible for approximately £400 million of revenue and up to 40 live projects at any one time. Your day-to-day activities will include:
1. Responsibility for HSW, Environmental, and Quality resources within the region.
2. Driving focus and developing opportunities to enhance delivery and customer offerings.
3. Improving industry best practices and adopting sustainable modern methods of construction.
Requirements for the Role
1. Experience working for a Tier 1 contractor in an established leadership role.
2. Strong people management and leadership skills.
3. Commercial awareness with a forward-thinking mindset and attitude.
4. Experience in a leadership position responsible for all aspects of the construction process, including planning, building services, design management, information management, and engineering.
