Temp to Perm | £13.75 – £15.00 per hour | Nursery linked to mainstream primary Level 3 EYFS qualification desirable but not essential
A welcoming primary school in Chorley is looking to appoint an EYFS Teaching Assistant to support their nursery class. This temp‑to‑perm role offers the chance to join a supportive, child‑centred environment where early learning is prioritised and staff are encouraged to grow professionally.
The nursery is well‑resourced and provides a stimulating environment where children learn through exploration, creativity and structured play. You will work alongside experienced practitioners to deliver engaging sessions, support children’s emotional wellbeing and help maintain a positive, inclusive atmosphere.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, caring and confident working with young children. A Level 3 EYFS qualification is desirable, but the school is open to applicants with strong early years experience and a genuine commitment to supporting children’s development.

* Supporting daily routines and transitions within the nursery
* Assisting with small‑group activities and one‑to‑one support
* Encouraging positive behaviour and social interaction
* Preparing resources and maintaining a tidy learning environment
* Contributing to observations and planning discussions
* Working closely with the class teacher and wider school team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
