This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for overseeing the full purchasing strategy and operations. You'll work cross-functionally with suppliers, internal teams, and senior leadership to ensure the smooth, timely, and cost-effective procurement of materials and services. As a key part of the leadership team, you'll be focused on continuous improvement, supplier performance, team development, and delivering strong commercial outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Lead the Procurement Function: Take full ownership of the purchasing operations, managing end-to-end procurement processes to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services. Develop and Implement Strategies: Drive procurement strategies aligned with business objectives to improve supplier performance, reduce lead times, and control costs. Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and service providers. Ensure consistent quality, reliability, and value through proactive communication and regular performance reviews. Team Leadership & Development: Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing purchasing team. Set clear goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and support individual development plans to build team capability. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, engineering, planning, and finance teams to align purchasing activities with operational needs and project timelines. Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions within the supply chain. Promote best practices and support company-wide efficiency initiatives. Ensure Compliance & Risk Management: Maintain adherence to company policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards across all procurement activities. Monitor supply risks and implement mitigation plans where needed. Support Operational Planning: Collaborate with planning and logistics teams to ensure accurate material forecasting, minimize stock shortages, and optimize inventory levels.
