Overview

MacGregor Black are partnering with a Global Market Leading Tool brand on the search for a Senior National Account Manager. As Senior National Account Manager you will be responsible for driving commercial performance within the Sales function. You will be a dynamic and positive thinker; your ideas and initiatives will contribute to the success of the team and the company. A previous experience with construction/trade products across key national retailers is required.


Key Responsibilities

* Manage, grow, and maintain relationships with large national accounts, including high-profile trade and retail customers.
* Develop and execute strategic account plans to meet and exceed agreed sales targets.
* Build and deliver Joint Business Plans in collaboration with key accounts, aligning growth objectives, promotional activity, and category development.
* Negotiate terms, pricing, promotions, and product listings in line with business objectives.
* Work closely with internal teams (sales support, marketing, supply chain, product management) to ensure customer requirements are met and exceeded.
* Analyse account performance, market trends, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth and improve commercial outcomes.
* Use data to forecast demand accurately, track promotional effectiveness, and support supply chain efficiency.
* Prepare and present regular business reviews to both internal stakeholders and customers.
* Maintain detailed knowledge of the product range and industry trends.
* Identify new business opportunities and progress to increase brand coverage in trade and DIY markets.


What We\'re Looking For

* Proven success in managing major national accounts, ideally within the tools, hardware, or related trade/DIY retail sector.
* Experience working with leading trade/retail accounts including but not limited to B&Q, Screwfix, Toolstation, Howdens and Selco.
* Demonstrable experience in building and executing Joint Business Plans with large accounts.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
* Commercially astute with a strategic mindset.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a wider team, communicating cross functionally within internal teams and with our strategic customers on matters such as marketing, product development, supply chain and finance.
* Experience of close collaboration with supply chain planners.
* Organised, with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise effectively.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CRM systems.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.
