Quality Inspector
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £28,000+ (DOE)
Hours: Days (Monday - Friday)
Overview
A well-established UK manufacturer and stockist of precision fasteners is looking to recruit a Quality Inspector to join their team. With over 50 years in the industry and a strong reputation for quality and reliability, this is a great opportunity to build a career within a structured engineering environment.
This role is ideal for someone early in their career or looking to transition into quality, with full training provided.
Key Responsibilities
. Inspect components using measuring equipment (verniers, micrometres, gauges etc.)
. Support incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities
. Record and document inspection results accurately
. Assist with non-conformance reports and corrective actions
. Support compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards
. Work closely with production to maintain high quality standards
. Maintain traceability and documentation in line with quality procedures
Requirements
. Interest in engineering, manufacturing, or quality
. Basic understanding of measurements (or willingness to learn)
. Strong attention to detail
. Good communication skills
. Able to follow processes and work methodically
. Exposure to ISO 9001
. Experience within manufacturing or fasteners
. Understanding of quality processes or inspection tools
