Job description
Our local authority client is currently seeking a Rural Estate Manager on a contract basis. This role involves managing the Council's extensive 14,000-hectare rural estate, ensuring strategic, financial, and environmental performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leading a team to manage the rural estate, ensuring optimal operations and performance
2. Overseeing budgets and financial planning to achieve financial targets and milestones
3. Providing expert advice to stakeholders on various matters related to the estate
4. Identifying and driving development opportunities to maximise the value and revenue of the estate
5. Supporting climate and biodiversity goals through sustainable estate management practices
6. Maintaining accurate and comprehensive property records
7. Maximising value from the estate's assets and annual revenue
Job Requirements:
8. Extensive experience in estate management
9. Strong understanding of strategic, financial, and environmental facets of rural estate management
10. Ability to deliver budgets and financial plans effectively
11. Proven advisory skills with a variety of stakeholders
12. Experience in driving development initiatives within an estate context
13. Commitment to environmental sustainability and biodiversity
14. Excellent organisational and property record-keeping skills
15. Capability to manage and maximise significant assets and revenue streams
