Job Introduction
Community Physiotherapist - Band 5
Malmesbury Community Team
37.5 Hours Per Week - Permanent
Are you passionate about Physiotherapy and providing health care in people's own homes?
Do you have the commitment to make a difference to people’s lives? Are you keen to learn and develop within a rewarding Physiotherapy role?
The Malmesbury and Royal Wootton Bassett Community Team is looking for an inspirational Physiotherapist to deliver a high standard of quality care to patients within the community setting. We can offer a supportive and friendly environment in which to learn new skills.
Community Physiotherapists deliver care in patients’ homes and residential homes as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team, linking closely with GP Practices and other community services in the local areas. We work with the aim of preventing unnecessary hospital admissions and helping people manage their conditions at home. The Malmesbury Community Team is split into three clusters (Malmesbury/Sherston, Purton/Cricklade, and Royal Wootton Bassett) and includes Nurses, Therapists, Clinical Leads, Care Coordinators, and other staff.
For enquiries or to arrange an informal visit, contact the team office at 01666 330515 and speak to Alex Seymour or Claire Stocks.
Main Responsibilities
The team is based in Malmesbury Primary Care Centre and operates from 08:30 to 18:00. Physiotherapy staff will be expected to work weekends and cover core and mid shifts.
Evidence of up-to-date clinical professional development is essential; experience in community patient care is preferable.
Applicants need excellent clinical skills, well-developed communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure. The role is demanding but rewarding. We seek an enthusiastic, motivated, and hardworking individual who can work flexibly and efficiently. We are a busy, friendly team eager to welcome a new member willing to contribute to our ongoing service development.
The Ideal Candidate
You will be a NMC/1st level registered Nurse with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Strong communication and organizational skills and a flexible approach are essential to deliver positive experiences to patients throughout their healthcare journey.
You must have a full UK driving license and access to a car for work purposes.
You should be confident using IT systems and demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
