Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Quality, Environment, Health and Safety and compliance to standards Promote safe working practices and complies to E&S, quality and HACCP standards Responsible for the management of activities which ensure food safety, integrity, legality and quality compliance Ensure compliance with all company and departmental standards and processes and legal obligations Takes ownership for creation of SOP’s and updating of the written scheme Accountable for the WIF (Work Instruction Form) process for pressure systems in the department Creation and updating of the Electrical Compliance upgrade plan Creation and updating of the Pressure systems maintenance plan for the department Ensure continuous improvement to consumption of energy and utilities within department Ensure appropriate SLA’s are met in regards to maintaining quality standards and specifications Takes ownership for adherence to processes within area e.g. SLA’s and health and safety performance Issuing of Permits to Work for activities on the line and other areas of the department as required Project completion including control of cost, budget and resources Facilitates major Capex projects and manages minor projects within the department Ensures projects align with site and global standards Drives cost optimization in all endeavours Ensure all projects are managed on time and to budget Shares accountability in the maintenance and utility cost performance across the department Improves energy / utilities consumption performance and sets actions to improve GOP compliance Ensures all activities are in adherence to SLA and local governance Deployment of new operating practices across the department Manages the department KPI and PI development, tracking, monitoring, analysis, diagnosis and consequent corrective/improvement actions Supports trouble shooting and coaches in problem solving to capture and resolve root cause. Responsible for reviewing and action completion of GOPS Coordinate production & PM windows with Logistics and technical planners Provides leadership in improvement initiatives, processes and ways of working Identifies and executes proper process adjustments when required Communicates corrective actions to corresponding meetings and briefs Interfaces with equipment and materials suppliers in co-ordination with Brewery Support where applicable Participates in departmental MCRS meetings Actively supports innovation activities & ideas from the team Collaborate with Reliability FLM to ensure Technicians on day-shift support continuous improvement using VPO tools Development of a strong and cohesive team Walks the floor – leads by example, positively challenges, reinforces good behaviours Drives responsibility and accountability at all levels in line with our Company principles Celebrates success and works collaboratively to deliver appropriate and timely recognition Seeks to improve and develop themselves, monitors progress against plan and actively seeks feedback Coaches and mentors to develop people, peers and teams Motivates team to achieve departmental KPI’s and deliver high standards of performance Ensures training plans are regularly reviewed for all employees and appropriate records are maintained accordingly Key Skills, Knowledge & Competencies: Experience and knowledge of Company business systems and process, i.e. SAP and Sigma etc. Experience of managing teams to achieve challenging targets and objectives Experience of dealing with industrial relations issues Experience in managing & delivering significant changes initiatives and process improvement activities Excellent knowledge of manufacturing principles, tools and techniques and project management principles through VPO methodology A full understanding of all activities or tasks in line with food safety requirements covered within a procedure (CCP or prerequisite) Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Supply/Manufacturing Excellent data analysis and problem solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong leadership skills with the ability to quickly gain rapport and trust across all levels Strong influencer, able to challenge management and staff where appropriate Excellent team player, able to develop strong relationships with colleagues and peers Highly results focused, and with a strong attention to detail Able to work on own initiative with the flexibility to prioritize workload effectively Acts as a role model for the ten principles, and ensures that the culture within the department is aligned to the ten principles Has strong organisation skills using a highly structured and systematic approach to delivering business solutions to deadlines
