The Role & Key Responsibilities
From your first day you will be part of a policing family making a real difference. The Facilities Coordinators form part of the wider Facilities Service Delivery Team in the Estates & Facilities Department, supporting officers and staff in operational roles.
Key responsibilities include:
* Administrative tasks such as purchasing and ordering goods.
* Conducting regular site checks, identifying issues and carrying out minor repairs.
* Assisting contractors and ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.
* Delivering proactive and pre‑planned building improvement projects, including site refurbishments, redevelopment and decommissioning activities.
* Working with local departmental teams across Surrey & Sussex to deliver soft FM service.
Location: Brighton. You will undertake works across the Sussex estate; a full driver’s licence (group B) and a basic Police driving assessment are essential.
Desirable attributes include self‑motivation, excellent planning and organising skills, adaptability, and strong communication skills.
Skills & Experience
* Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
* Experience in the Facilities field (beneficial but not essential).
* Ability to work independently with remote line management.
* Practical experience of minor maintenance activities, repairs, painting and decorating.
* Willingness to undertake relevant Health and Safety training.
* Experience contributing to team goals and using initiative for dynamic decision‑making.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
