Swim Teacher - 50 Weeks Per YearPart-time - 10.5 hours per week available (Salary will be pro-rata based on hours)We are looking to appoint qualified Swim Teachers to join our Swim School Team in delivering a fun, safe and effective programme for all users at our Diss Swim Centre.The hours available are Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays: 3.45pm - 5.45pm and Saturdays: 8.30am - 1.00pm.**The Saturday hours will require an SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming to Babies and Toddlers qualification.The successful candidates will be responsible for planning, organising, and delivering a high-quality programme of swimming lessons in line with the Swim England Framework. Lessons should be structured, progressive, and engaging, ensuring that participants of all ages and abilities enjoy their learning experience while developing essential swimming skills.This role presents an excellent opportunity to contribute to the continued success of Diss SwimCentre and to support the development of swimming skills within the local community.In addition to teaching our 'Learn to Swim' programme, we are particularly interested in hearing from candidates who are experienced in delivering Group, Adult and Child, individual or 2:1 lessons.You will need: a Level 2 Swim England qualification (or STA equivalent), together with a National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches or an RLSS National Pool Lifeguard qualification (or be willing to undertake within a specified timeframe). The Saturday hours will require an SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming to Babies and Toddlers qualification.About YouYou'll bring experience of planning and delivering swimming lessons for groups of varying abilities, along with a good understanding of health and safety requirements and safeguarding within the leisure sector.
You'll be well organised and reliable, with strong timekeeping, and able to communicate clearly and effectively.
