Motiontech designs, installs, and maintains intelligent automation and material handling systems for major UK retail and logistics businesses. You'll join an established maintenance team on-site in Hinckley, keeping cutting-edge automated material handling systems running at peak performance. Day to day, you'll split your time between planned preventative work and reactive fault-finding — with the tools, systems, and team around you to do both properly.
You will:
* Deliver planned preventative maintenance across automated material handling systems
* Respond to breakdowns quickly, diagnosing and resolving faults to minimise downtime
* Fault-find on electrical, mechanical, and PLC-controlled equipment
* Maintain conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pneumatics, and automated handling systems
* Use the CMMS to log maintenance activity and track performance data
What you'll bring
Essential:
* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical, Mechanical, or Multi-Skilled Engineering
* Proven maintenance experience in logistics, automation, FMCG, or manufacturing
* Strong fault-finding skills across electrical, mechanical, and PLC-controlled systems
* Hands-on experience with conveyors, drives, gearboxes, and pneumatics
* Comfortable working 12-hour rotating shifts including nights and weekends
Useful, not essential:
* Experience with CMMS platforms
* Previous work in a high-speed automated logistics environment
* Exposure to robotics or advanced sortation systems
