Full Time, Fixed Term to cover a secondment until 31st March 2026.

An opportunity has become available in our newly formed Family Help teams.

We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated person to manage the Family Help team within our Neighbourhood services for Children and Families, providing support, supervision and operational oversight of the day-to-day function of the team.

The team is a multi-disciplinary team including Keyworkers, Social Workers, Parenting Practitioners, Youth Workers and various specialist workers, working with families with multiple and complex needs to ensure positive outcomes and prevent escalation to statutory services.

The Role:

You will work closely with the Deputy Service Manager to lead the team through the transition into and establishment of the Family Help team. As well as overseeing the delivery and quality of whole family work with complex families within the neighbourhood they will contribute to service development and plans for the service moving forward.

You will provide casework supervision (including case direction and reflective practice) and professional consultation to Family Help Supervisors and other practitioners working within Family Help services, promoting the development of teams’ practice knowledge and of service delivery.

You will provide high quality line management to practitioners to ensure excellence in decision making, allocation and case holding across the Family Help team.

You will support the delivery of high professional standards, robust quality assurance of the work with families and support teams through sharing knowledge of legislation, regulation and practice methods including Signs of Safety, Systemic Practice.

You will lead multi-agency and partnership working through chairing of complex multi-agency and family meetings, as well as representation at strategy meetings and Locality meetings.

Please note that this role is also subject to an Enhanced DBS Check.
