Overview
A vacancy at Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) for a CYP Crisis Team member within the Children and Young People’s Emergency & Urgent Care. The role supports the development of knowledge and clinical practice in a supportive environment with potential progression to a competent Band 6 Crisis Practitioner. You will be part of the CYP Crisis Team, working with a multidisciplinary group and supported by Band 6 Practitioners and Band 7 Clinical Leads. The team focuses on implementing and delivering crisis care for CYP and involves regular liaison with other services to ensure effective pathways of care.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to comprehensive mental health risk assessment and planning crisis interventions.
* Provide follow-ups as required and appropriately safeguard young people and their families/carers through face-to-face work.
* Collaborate under supervision to promote safety and support for young people and their families, including liaison with external agencies and other services to ensure effective pathways of care.
* Travel across the RDaSH footprint (Rotherham, Doncaster and Scunthorpe) to attend assessments as required; work a variety of shift patterns to meet service needs.
Qualifications and Experience
* Professional registration with HCPC, Social Work England or the NMC is required.
* Clinical knowledge and awareness of assessing and managing risk in mental health or social care settings is desirable; continuing support and development opportunities will be provided.
Essential Attributes
* High level of emotional resilience to support young people and families at times of distress.
* Ability to work within a team and, in the future, independently as needed to meet service requirements.
