We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Project Support Officer to join one of our clients within the Local Government sector, in Scotland. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting project managers and wider delivery teams, ensuring that project activities are systematically tracked, documented, and reported.
You will be instrumental in maintaining schedules, preparing progress updates, managing documentation, and coordinating key meetings and stakeholder communications.
Role Details:
* Day Rate: £225-250 per day
* Contract: 6 months

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide comprehensive project support to ensure effective planning, execution, and delivery of projects.
* Maintain detailed project documentation including plans, risk registers, issue logs, and meeting minutes.
* Assist in tracking project milestones and deliverables, ensuring adherence to agreed timescales.
* Support stakeholder engagement activities and facilitate effective communication across project teams.
* Assist in the coordination of digital/web upgrade projects and transformation initiatives.
* Monitor and report on project performance metrics to ensure transparency and accountability.
Essential Requirements:
* Proven experience working in a Project Support Officer or PMO role.
* Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
* Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or equivalent is highly desirable.
* Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within project teams.
* Experience working on digital/web upgrade projects.
* Previous experience in the public sector or local government environment is required.
