A key division of a highly successful, market-leading group is seeking a commercially astute Finance Director to join its senior leadership team. With a strong reputation in designing and delivering commercial refrigeration solutions to major food retailers, this organisation is poised for significant growth and increased market share.
The Role
This strategic and hands-on leadership role is pivotal to driving financial performance and business transformation. As Finance Director, you’ll lead the Finance function across two UK sites, collaborate with overseas shared services, and influence board-level decisions. Key responsibilities include:
• Acting as a trusted partner to the Regional FD and UK MD, driving best-in-class financial leadership well beyond the numbers.
• Leading a full review of the Finance function to implement smarter, leaner processes.
• Driving cost control, income generation, capital management, and cultural change around value and cost discipline.
• Owning the business planning cycle and ensuring compliance with UK and international standards.
• Partnering cross-functionally to deliver strategic insights and lead change management initiatives that enable sustainable growth.
The Person
You are a qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and commercially driven finance leader with a proven record in fast-paced B2B manufacturing or engineering environments —ideally with complex R&D, project, or service elements. Confident and resilient, you bring:
• A track record of transformation and profit improvement.
• Experience influencing at senior levels and driving performance in challenging, change-oriented settings.
• Sector experience in capital equipment, HVAC, automotive, or similar high-performance industries.
