Job Title: Proposal Coordinator
Salary: up to £36,120 per annum dependent upon experience
Location: Portsmouth
We currently have a vacancy to join one of the world's leading, global defence, security and aerospace companies as a Proposal Coordinator. The role will be based in Portsmouth but offers the opportunity for hybrid working (usually 1- 2 days per week on site) and flexible working hours- individual circumstances will be discussed.

You will be joining the award winning Maritime and Land BD Operations team, which is a centre of excellence for business winning best practice. Residing in Maritime Services but providing business winning support across the Maritime and Land sector, this role will build a breadth of knowledge about our products and capabilities. Within this team, there is a dedicated bid and proposals team that supports a diverse range of UK and International bids. Day to day you will work closely with the Proposal Managers in undertaking the proposal management (and wider business winning) process, helping to ensure development of compelling, innovative, class leading proposals and capability documents to meet submission deadlines. You will work alongside capture and bid teams from across the sector as well as external industry partners. There is also opportunity for further career and professional development.
Main Responsibilities:
* Supports the Proposal Manager in aspects of the planning and execution of the overall Proposal development effort
* Generates the proposal templates, tailored to the specific opportunity questions and customer guidance
* Carries out formatting of documents to BAE Systems and Best Practice proposal standards
* Manages portal access such as the Defence Sourcing Portal and uploads proposal responses to customer via desired method (electronic portals, CDs etc.)
* Leads, manages and updates Part 1 responses for Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs)
* Generates standard submission responses and/or collates previous responses
* Manages clarification question process - identification, approval, submission and responses
* Supports the business approval process, including any security and export approvals and the final editing, production and Proposal delivery arrangements

About You:
* Qualified to Degree standard (not essential) or equivalent e.g. Association of Proposal Management (APMP) certifications
* Excellent Microsoft office skills particularly formatting large, complex documents
* Some experience with PQQs, RFIs, ITT/ITN/RFP/RFQ or Frameworks
* Previous bidding experience in some form
* Experience working to short deadlines with extremely good attention to detail
* Price to win experience would be beneficial but not essential
You must be eligible to apply for SC clearance and, therefore, must hold a British passport and have lived and worked in the UK for the past 5 years
