Key Responsibilities
* Advise landlords on all aspects of housing law, tenancy agreements, and regulatory compliance.
* Draft and serve possession notices (including Section 8 and Section 21 under the Housing Act 1988).
* Manage possession proceedings from instruction through to conclusion.
* Advise on tenancy deposit schemes, rent arrears, disrepair claims, and property management disputes.
* Ensure compliance with the Deregulation Act 2015 and prescribed requirements affecting eviction procedures.
* Guide landlords on their obligations under the Landlord and Tenant Acts.
* Advise on compliance with the Protection from Eviction Act 1977.
* Assist clients with leasehold matters, service charges, and enfranchisement issues.
* Stay up to date with legislative and regulatory changes and proactively advise clients.
* Manage a mixed caseload independently while maintaining excellent client care standards.
Essential Knowledge
* Housing Acts (possession, tenancy management, anti-social behaviour)
* Landlord and Tenant Acts (repairs, service charges, enfranchisement)

Person Specification
* Strong technical knowledge of Property and Housing Law, particularly acting for landlords.
* Up-to-date understanding of legislative changes and housing regulations.
* Ability to manage a varied caseload independently.
* Excellent communication, drafting, and negotiation skills.
* Highly organised, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
* Committed to delivering excellent client service.
Desirable: Experience within a busy housing/property litigation team; knowledge of Landlord and Tenant Eviction procedure and Law.
