The Role: As part of Workplace Services, the Central Stores Assistant is a pivotal role in supporting the operational delivery of multiple managed buildings, sites and central stores. This role is part of the operational team that support the operational delivery of excellent customer service for all users. This role must adhere to best practise in housekeeping and health and safety compliance. The role ensures that there is professional, smooth and joined up service delivery across all sites and buildings. The role is part of the Central Delivery Service. To receive deliveries for the site departments and users, to record and deliver across the site in a timely manner (within 4 hours or sooner). To collect and collate items from the departments for collection by third party carriers. Keep up to date records of all goods in and out of the site ensuring all items collected or delivered are signed for. The role holder ensures the areas within the stores and the external areas are kept clean and tidy. A valid forklift licence and previous experience operating a forklift are essential for this role. The role is responsible for, dealing with the operational requests from the third-party occupiers and working with our building maintenance teams for reactive and planned maintenance. The role-holder is responsible for carrying out Health & Safety, Compliance, ensuring daily duties are completed, and building and sites are operating efficiently and effectively.
