Hours of work
37.5 hours per week (flexible working options considered).
Hours of work will be flexible and dictated by the needs of the business, therefore it is expected that the successful applicant will work those hours necessary to successfully discharge the duties of the role.
The role
Overview
For more than a decade, Age Partnership’s web team has delivered industry-leading digital solutions, helping to ensure that our customers’ lives really do get better with Age. We are now poised to embark on a revamp of our digital presence and are looking for an in-house Digital UX/UI Designer to take a leading role in this transformation.
This role will be a mix of research, testing and design, working closely with our front-end development and marketing teams, as well as our back-end development, software and data teams, to collaborate on strategic initiatives that align with our business goals.
Key Outputs
16. Create and design industry-leading digital experiences to improve customer and commercial outcomes, using appropriate tools and methodologies.
17. Collaborate closely with key stakeholders from across the business in order to gather and understand requirements, and translate these effectively into final design assets.
18. Create wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs for new features and improvements to existing digital products.
19. Work closely with the development teams to ensure correct, high-quality implementation and to maintain a good understanding of technical implementation and limitations.
20. Conduct research and testing to inform all stages of the design process.
21. Maintain a deep and up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, best practises and trends
22. Foster a culture of collaboration with key departments across the business, working together to ideate, develop, and implement solutions
23. Other ad-hoc duties as and when required by the business.

The person:
Overview:
You will be an experienced UI/UX designer with at least 3 years’ experience working in a mid-level-to-senior role, who takes pride in creating industry-leading digital solutions and who cares deeply about cultivating a positive and collaborative team culture.
You will be passionate about understanding user interactions across our digital channels and about improving those interactions to deliver better outcomes for both the user and the business.
You will display an enthusiastic approach to work, be innovative, detail orientated, have excellent organisation and communication skills, and be a team player. You will be keen to continue learning and developing your own skills.
Skills and knowledge:
36. Excellent user-centred UX & UI design skills, and proficient using industry-standard design software such as Figma, Adobe XD or Sketch
37. Highly experienced developing and testing prototypes, both low- and high-resolution, using a range of tools and methodologies.
38. Deeply familiar with conducting research and testing to inform all stages of the design process.
39. Experienced working closely with development teams, with a functional understanding of technical implementation and limitations.
40. Enthusiastic about keeping up to date with industry trends and best practices.
41. Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, with a track record of working collaboratively and developing strong working relationships with colleagues at all levels of a business.
42. Proficiency with front-end development technologies would be a bonus, but is not essential.
Qualifications & experience
43. A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a mid-level-to-senior design role, with a strong portfolio to back this up.
44. Degree education level desirable, but not required.
45. Experience within the financial services industry or other regulated industry desirable.
