GSL Education are seeking a committed SEMH TA for a warm and inclusive school in Worksop, where you will help young people overcome barriers, gain confidence, and experience steady academic and personal development. As an SEMH TA, you will: Provide targeted 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs. Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment. Work with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to deliver effective interventions. Promote pupils’ resilience, confidence, and positive social skills. Manage challenging behaviour calmly using restorative approaches. Track pupil progress and share updates with staff. Requirements for the SEMH TA role: Previous experience supporting pupils with SEMH, SEND, or behavioural challenges. A patient, proactive, and empathetic approach to supporting learning and wellbeing. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and take direction from teaching staff. An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
